Turning images into a clean, ordered PDF
Tips for page size, orientation and ordering when combining photographs or scans.
Normalize before combining
Crop unnecessary borders and correct every image orientation. Mixing portrait, landscape and different dimensions can create inconsistent pages, so decide whether to preserve original sizes or fit everything to one paper format.
Balance resolution and size
Modern phone photos are much larger than an ordinary document needs. Reduce dimensions while keeping text readable, using higher quality for detailed diagrams and lower quality for reference photographs.
Verify the sequence
Number image filenames before upload when order matters. After creating the PDF, check that no page is rotated and that the cover, main content and attachments appear in the intended positions.
