A practical method for organizing a large PDF
Turn a disordered file into a clear document with merging, splitting, ordering and numbering.
Map the document first
Write a short list of the required sections and identify duplicates or gaps. Reordering without a plan can move a page to the wrong place unnoticed, especially when pages look similar.
Split, review, then merge
For a very large document, extract each section, give it a clear name, and merge the reviewed sections in final order. This is easier to verify than moving dozens of pages inside one file.
Add navigation cues
Use page numbers, section titles and a descriptive filename. Open the first and last page of every section after assembly, and test bookmarks or links before removing temporary copies.
